On 23rd February, 2018, talking with Customs Newspaper reporters, leaders of IT Division (under Hai Phong Customs Department) said that after they had transferred the management of PTSC Dinh Vu port to Hai Phong port zone I Customs Branch (formerly managed by Hai Phong port zone II Customs Branch) from 5th February 2018, the new warehouse code is 03CCS04 (replacing former code 03CES09) to meet the management requirements and better serve the business community.

It is known that some enterprises have not updated this new code and still declared the former code. However, the Customs authorities have coordinated to solve this problemso as not toaffect the enterprises’ operations.

"For the declarations opened before the issue of thenew code, and after issue ofthenew code, enterprises still declare the former code. Hai Phong port zone I Customs Branch and Hai Phong port zone II Customs Branch has actively coordinated to correct the information under the new code. This correction has been carried out by the Customs authorities and has not affected the import and export activities as well as not requiring any additional procedures by enterprises"- a leader of the Customs Supervision Team under Hai Phong port zone I Customs Branch said.

According to the leader of the Customs Supervision Team under Hai Phong port zone I, recently, the enterprises which carry out the procedures at PTSC Dinh Vu port have declared the new warehouse code and import and export activities have taken place normally.

Previously, leaders of Hai Phong Customs Department had some adjustments related to themanagementof unitsin some ports and industrial zones in the city.

Specifically, from 4th February 2018, Hai Phong port zone II Customs Branch has managed and carried out Customs procedures for goods at Nam Dinh Vu port - this is the new port invested and built in Hai Phong area.

From 5th February2018, Hai Phong port zone I Customs Branch has managed and carried out Customs procedures for goods at Dinh Vu Petroleum Service Port JSC (PTSC Dinh Vu port).

From 1st March 2018, Investment and Processing Customs Branch (under Hai Phong Customs Department) shall implement the Customs clearance for goods of enterprises in Dinh Vu Industrial Zone and Do Son Industrial Zone, which were formerly managed by EPZ – IP Customs Branch (under Hai Phong Customs Department).

Speaking to Customs Newspaper reporters, Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Tien Loc said that the above adjustment was the normal work of the Customs when the management area has a new Customs procedure area (such as Nam Dinh Vu-reporter).
