At the same time, the Ministry has also promoted the mutual recognition of conformity assessment results (multilateral, bilateral and unilateral recognitions) with foreign partners.
Accordingly, in order to implement solutions for the reform of specialized management and inspections for imported and exported goods, the Ministry of Science and Technology signed the ASEAN Sectoral Mutual Recognition Arrangement for electronic equipment (ASEAN EE MRA); signed agreements with Ukraine, Taiwan, the Republic of Belarus and the South Korea; announced the recognition of conformity assessment results of 2 Japan’s conformity assessment organizations.
Promoting designated conformity assessment bodies to conduct the mechanism of recognition of technical results and acceptance of conformity assessment results from exporting countries for 42 testing bodies (in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan) for products and goods under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Enhancing the evaluation at source (at foreign manufacturing facilities) for more than 32 enterprises (in Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, the South Korea and etc).

The Ministry of Science and Technology has fully socialized the conformity assessment (testing, inspection, certification and accreditation) for the specialized inspections.
Currently, the Ministry of Science and Technology has designated 69 conformity assessment bodies for State management for the heading 2 products and goods (the potentially unsafe products and goods) under its management.
