Election results of 13th Party Central Committee announced

Permanent deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Nguyen Thanh Binh reveals the list of the members of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Immediately after completing the vote counting, the Congress announced the list of delegates elected to the 13th Party Central Committee.

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, on behalf of the Presidium, chaired the meeting.

Notably, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc were reelected to the 13th Party Central Committee.

Party chief Trong, 77, and PM Phuc, 66, were among "special cases" introduced by the 12th Party Central Committee for re-election to the 13th Party Central Committee though they exceed the age limit as set out in existing regulations.
