Collected over VND 10 billion of a FDI enterprise’s 22 year-tax debt

According to the leader of the Investment/ Processing Customs Branch, in 2018, the Branch effectively implemented state budget collection solutions, including the handling and collection of tax debts with positive results.
Over VND 15 billion of tax debts were handled and recovered in 2018, and there was more than over VND 7 billion of a Foreign direct investment enterprise arising from 1996, and over VND 3 billion of this enterprise in 2017. The outstanding achievement of the Investment/Processing Customs Branch was the recovery of over VND 10 billion of a 22 year tax-debt from this FDI.
In addition to reforming procedures and facilitating foreign-invested businesses, the Branch has particularly paid attention to the fight against smuggling and trade frauds for preventing state revenue losses, creating an equal business environment.

In 2018, the Branch increased revenue for the State budget by nearly VND 140 billion from post-clearance audits, and price ruling; handled and collected over VND 15 billion of tax debt; detected 279 Customs offences with the value of infringing goods of nearly VND 400 billion.
Implementing synchronous solutions, in 2018, the Branch collected and contributed VND 21,774 billion to the State budget, reaching 100.08% of the assigned targets.
