World Bank ranks Finnish Customs fourth-best in the world

Finnish Customs have been ranked as fourth-best in the world, according to a new survey by the World Bank. The institution surveyed 160 countries for its Logistical Performance Index.

The World’s Bank Logistical Performance Index ranking looks at an array of trade indicators, such as customs operations, infrastructure, international shipments, logistics competence, tracking and tracking and competence.

The Bank ranked Finland in fourth place for its Customs operations, behind Singapore, Germany and the Netherlands. Two years earlier, Finnish Customs had been ranked in eighth position.

Overall, Finland came in at 15th position in the Logistical Performance Index of LPI, up from 23rd place two years ago in 2014 when the previous ranking was released.

Finland also reached 16th place in the infrastructure, timeliness and logistics competence rankings. It also performed well in terms of tracking and tracings, ranking in 11th place.

The 2016 index looked at the logistical performance of 160 states.
