Vietnam Customs has new Deputy Director General

VCN - Director of Personnel and Organisation Department of the General Department of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Tho has been appointed as Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs.

On September 29, the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a conference on personnel management. Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai chaired the conference.

At the conference, the Director of Personnel and Organisation Department of the Ministry of Finance Pham Duc Thang announced the decision on the personnel of General Department of Vietnam Customs.

On June 30, Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai signed Decision 1266 QD-BTC on the retirement from October 1for Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Duong Thai.

On September 28, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision 1916/QD-BTC appointing Nguyen Van Tho, Director of Personnel and Organisation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs) to be the Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs. The decision took effect from the date of signing.

On behalf of the Party Affairs Committee and the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai handed over the decision and flowers to congratulate Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai and Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho.

“With 44 years of working, including 27 years working in the Customs sector, through many positions, Nguyen Duong Thai always showed a sense of responsibility and excellently completed his assigned tasks in each field. He was awarded many noble awards by the Ministry of Finance and the State. Moreover, the Party Affairs Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Finance acknowledged the contribution of Nguyen Duong Thai to the development of the Customs and finance sectors,” Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai stated.

For the new Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai said the new job position was an honor and a great responsibility for new Deputy Director General in the future.

To complete the tasks in the new position, the Deputy Minister suggested that Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho should pay attention to performing the following key tasks: together with the leadership of General Department of Vietnam Customs, to unite, lead and direct the whole sector to fulfills its tasks; always has a spirit of good cooperation with units inside and outside the sector in working process; learning to improve qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of tasks in new positions.

The Deputy Minister suggested the collective leadership of General Department and customs officers and employees of the whole sector to cooperate, support and create conditions for new Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho to successfully complete his tasks.

Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai said that, as a well-trained officer with 20 years of working experience in Customs sector, Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho would successfully complete his tasks in all fields of work.

On behalf of the leaders of General Department of Customs, customs officers and employees, Director General Nguyen Van Can handed over flowers to congratulate Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai and new Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho.

Speaking at the conference, Director General thanked the Party Affair Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Finance for their concern and appointment of new Deputy Director General of Customs to meet the requirements of leadership, direction and administration of the leaders of General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The Director General expressed his gratitude to Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai for his contribution, dedication, responsibility and efforts to completing the tasks of the sector.

For Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho, Director General Nguyen Van Can request that he should follow the directions of Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai, promote capacity and qualifications, learn and promote the spirit of solidarity, leading the whole sector to success.

At the conference, Deputy General Director Nguyen Duong Thai expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, departments and agencies under the Ministry of Finance, especially the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, customs officers and employees of the whole sector that had always supported him.

Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho promised and expressed his determination to always make efforts and have dedication, responsibility and solidarity with the General Department's leadership to perform his assigned tasks.
