According to the regulations on the import of passenger cars with less than 16 seats under Circular No. 25/2010/TTLT BCT-BGTVT-BTC, passenger cars are only imported to Vietnam through the international port gates: Cai Lan-Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Customs procedures are carried out at the importing gates.

However, according to TCVN 7271: 2003 and the amendment of 2:2010 TCVN 7271:2003, currently, double-cab pickup cars are imported to Vietnam and defined as cargo double-cab pickup cars.

Therefore, according to the General Department ofVietnam Customs, the case of cargo double-cabpickup cars (according to TCVN 7271: 2003 and the amendment of 2: 2010 TCVN 7271:2003) are determined that they are not passenger pick up cars, they are not subject to adjustment on the import of cars with less than 16 seats under the provisions of Circular No.25/2010 /TTLT BCT-BGTVT-BTC.
