Trade in goods in Da Nang reaches US$1.9 billion

According to Da Nang Customs Department, between January and the second half of 2022, Da Nang Customs Department processed customs procedures for about 1,700 enterprises and classified channel for 49,492 declarations. The trade in goods rose by 14.36% to 1.87% compared with the same period of the year.
The import turnover and export turnover increased by 10.56% to US$ 848.38 million and 17.59% to US$10,022 million compared with the year ago.
In the first half of the year, Da Nang Customs Department’s revenue rose by 10.6% to VND2, 795 billion year-on-year, meeting 62% of the assigned target and 57.5% of the desired target.
The achievement has showed the department’s great effort in supporting businesses to overcome effects by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The city’s customs department said that it has well performed the customs supervision and control and provided solutions to remove difficulties for businesses in customs processes and help them restore their business production after the pandemic.
The department has effectively run the VNACCS/VCIS; processed online customs procedures and received Licenses and specialized inspection results, Certificates of Origin (C/O) on the National Single Window Portal; well implemented the National Single-window mechanism, the Vietnam Automated System for Seaport Customs Management (VASSCM); granted permits for non-commercial cars via the online public service system and implemented electronic positioning seals in monitoring goods transported by containers.
At the same time, the department has regularly reviewed and removed difficulties and problems proposed by businesses and investors in the area, conducted surveys on production and business activities, removed obstacles of enterprises and encouraged them to continue maintaining their operation.
