VCN- The General Department of Taxation has made upgrading the electronic application system for the tax declaration and payment in response to the administrative and service delivery unitsusing digital signatures of the Government Cipher Committee for declaring and paying tax electronically from the August 1st, 2016.

According to the General Department of Taxation, they have coordinated with the Government Cipher Committeeto upgrade the applications of electronic tax declaration and payment of the tax system and the digital signature system of the Government Cipher Committee to implement Government Resolution No. 19-2016 / NQ-CP on “the key tasks and measures to improve business environment, enhance the national competitiveness in two years 2016- 2017, and orientations to 2020”, and the need to usethe electronic tax declaration and payment service by specialized digital signatures of state agencies andthe administrative and service delivery units.

The General Department of Taxation recommended all cities and provinces conduct and activate urgently and decisively implementation of electronic tax payments; and submit The People's Committeesto command relevant agencies to coordinate with the tax authorities in stepping up implementation of electronic tax payment.

At the same time, the General Department of Taxation said that they would continue to activate the Taxation Departments to implement the expansion of the electronic tax application system for 100% of enterprises in the provinces to achieve the goal of the electronic tax declaration atlevel 4 for 95% of enterprises.

To archive the above targets, the General Department of Taxation required the Tax Departments in coordination with the security consulting units to deploy electronic tax payment services for businesses nationwide.

Besides, the General Department of Taxation will organize to upgrade the electronic tax payment system and deploy the expansion of the electronic tax payment services to the commercial banks in the country.
