Highlights 1. According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in April of 2023, a 8.5% downwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of the last month. Exports went down 6.2%, to US dollars 27.86 billion and imports decreased 11%, to US dollars 25.21 billion in terms of month-on-month basis. As a result, there was a US dollars 2.66 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

Highlights 1. According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in March 2021, a 42.2% upwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of February 2021. Exports went up 46.8 %, to USD 29.65 billion and imports increased 37.8%, to USD 28.46 billion in terms of month-on- month basis. As a result, there was a USD 1.2 billion surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

1.  According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in February 2018, a 29.6% downwards in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded on month-on-month basis. Exports shrunk 29.1 %, to USD 14.33 billion and imports remarkably went down 30.0%, to USD 14.03 billion as compared to the result of January 2018. As a result, there was a USD 294 million surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.

​The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half of February, 2018 the total Vietnam’s exports of US dollars 5.13 billion and imports of nearly US dollars 6.4 billion resulted in a trade deficit of US dollars 1,27 billion.

The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the first half of February-2018, Vietnam’s total exports of US dollars 9.2 billion and imports of US dollars 7.75 billion resulted in a trade surplus of nearly US dollars 1.45 billion.

​1.  According to trade statistics of Vietnam Customs, in the first month of 2018, a 1.8% increase in total external merchandise turnover of Vietnam was recorded as compared to the result of December 2017. In which, exports went up 2.9 %, to USD 20.22 billion and imports shrunk 0.8%, to USD 20.04 billion. As a result, there was a USD 181 million surplus in Vietnam’s trade balance in this month.
