In November, 2016, the estimated State budget revenue of the whole Customs sector reached 24,000 billion vnd, up by 2,800 billion vnd over the previous month. In November, 2016, there were increases in some main import commodities: machine, equipment, tools and spare parts were estimated to reach $US 2.5 billion, up by 4.8% over the previous month; Telephone and accessories were estimated to reach $US 1.05, up by 4.1 % over the previous month; fabrics were estimated to reach $US 950 million, up by 3,5% with estimated value of $US 770 million, up by 5.9% over the previous month; raw plastics were estimated to reach 450 thousand tons, up by 9,9%, equal to $US 614 million, up by 7.8% over the previous month; other metals increased 0.2% and valued at $US 434 million, up by 3.6% over the previous month, imported petrol and oil were estimated to reach 900 thousand tons, up by 5.4%, equal to $US 416 million, up by 4.8% over the previous month

In addition, some main export commodities also tended to increase against the previous month such as: telephones and accessories were expected to reach $US 3 billion, increased by 5.8% compared to the previous month; Computers and electrical products and components were expected to reach $US 1.95 billion, increased by 2% compared to the previous month; Footwear was expected to reach $US 1.15 billion , increased by 10% compared to the previous month; Means of transportation and spare parts were expected to reach $US 550 million, increased by 8.8% compared to the previous month; wood and wooden products were expected to reach $US 620 million, increased by 1.8% compared to the previous month; Coffee was expected to reach 120 thousand tons, increased by 2.3%; estimated value of $US 258 million, increased by 6% compared to the previous month.

In November, 2016, the total import export value was estimated to reach $US 31.6 billion, increased by 1.1% against the previous month, in which the total export value was estimated $US 15.6 billion, increased by 1.3% and the total import value was estimated to reach $US 16 billion, increased by 1%.

With the above estimates, the total import export of the first eleven months of 2016 was expected to reach $US 316.16 billion, increased by 5.5% over the same period of 2015; in which the total export value was expected to reach $US 159.5 billion, increased by 7.5% and the total import value was expected to reach $US 156.66 billion, increased by 3.5%

The balance of trade in goods in November, 2016 was estimated in a deficit of $US 400 million, equivalent to 2.6% of export turnover. In November, 2016, Vietnam’s trade surplus was estimated to reach nearly $US 2.85 billion.

Contributing the State budget revenue in November, 2016 of the Customs sector are anti-smuggling and anti-commercial fraud. From 16 October, 2016 to 15 November 2016, Customs chaired, collaborated, detected and seized 596 violation cases with estimated commodity value of more than 11 billion vnd. The Customs authority prosecuted 5 criminal cases and transferred 2 cases to other authorities for prosecution.

For the last months of 2016, to meet the assigned State budget target, the General Department of Customs requested units to continue to seek solutions for State budget collection. Besides, enhance post clearance audits, control of anti-smuggling, anti-commercial fraud on key locations and focus on internal inspection, control and apply risk management as well as strengthen Customs examination and supervision, and tighten the rules and disciplines of the sector.
