Ministry of Finance: Considering prosecuting violations of authentic BMW importers

In particular, the Ministry of Finance stated: Through the management, inspection, of the preventing and fighting against smuggling and trade fraud to the automobile importation of Automotive AuChauJSC (Tax identification number: 0304791427, Address:No. 808 - Nguyen Van Linh, Tan Phu, District 7, HCMCity) 3 major issues have been identified.
They are: the Company consumed goods (imported cars BMW) on their own initiative without Customs clearance during the preserved pending period for the clearance as prescribed.
The company deliberately did not provide Certificate of Origin (C/O), and the records, papers and documents of BMW cars imported by the company, having signs of fraud and deceiving customers.
The company used forged documents such as purchase and sale contracts, commercial invoices to import BMW cars.

Pursuant to the Customs Law, the Law on Tax Administration and the relevant laws, and to ensure a healthy business environment in the spirit of the implementation of Resolution No 35/ND-CP of the Government on supporting and developing business to 2020 and to stop smuggling, trade fraud, tax evasion, as well as ensuring consumersrights, the Ministry of Finance requested the General Department of Customs to pause clearance all import BMW carsshipments (except for preferential treatment, diplomatic immunities).
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance also required the General Department of Customs to work with the Supreme People's Procuracy to review and prosecute this case with violations of the Au Chau JSCas prescribed.
