Lang Son: 3 people arrested smuggling heroin across the border

At around 12:30pm on 24th August, in Huong Son motel, Mau Son commune, Loc Binh district, Lang Son province, Don Chi Ma’s border guards captured 3 subjects, including: Le Thi Mai, born in 1984, resident of ward Anh Dung, Duong Kinh district, Hai Phong city; Sồng A Cánh, born in 1986, resident of Long Luong Commune, Van Ho district, Son La province; and Sùng A Khuá, born in 1993, lived in Pa Co commune, Mai Chau, HoaBinh Province, on suspicion of illegal narcotics transporting.

After examination, Task Force 2 seized 2 packages of smuggled heroin. After the interrogation process, the subjects confessed that Cánh and Khúa had attempted to transport 2 heroin packages from Son La to Hanoi and tried to deliver it to Mai, who then attempted to transit the narcotics for consumption by hiring a taxi to Lang Son. However, the act was caught red handed and stopped by the Border guards.

Notably, Le Thi Mai already has a criminal record for illegal possession of narcotics.

Detailed reports and further documents on the incident have been prepared by Don Chi Ma border guard, and will be handed over to higher authorities for treatment based on the law.
