Do the best for the revenue

In 2018, the Customs Department of Saigon Port Area 1 was assigned to strive for a budget revenue of VND 42,000 billion, accounting for more than 37% of the total revenue of the Customs Department of Ho Chi Minh City. As of December 25, the Sub-Department has collected VND 41,170 billion of the budget. In the last days of the year, the Customs Branch of Saigon Port at area 1 has to collect 830 billion dong to achieve the assigned target.

At the meeting, Director Dinh Ngoc Thang encouraged the spirit and directed the unit to try its best, with the focus on collecting solutions in the last days of the year, striving to achieve the highest results. “As a unit managing the area with huge import and export goods, the responsibility of the Customs Branch of Sai Gon port border area is very heavy, with a large amount of revenue, all the cadres and civil servants in the unit must make great efforts to achieve assigned targets,”- Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang encouraged. Before that, in the afternoon of December 25, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Bureau also encouraged and collected the revenues at the customs sub-departments with large revenues, including: Customs Branch of Sai Gon port area 3, Chi. Hiep Phuoc Port Border Gate Customs Department and Customs Branch managing Investment products. Working directly with key leaders of these units, the Customs Department Director Dinh Ngoc Thang promptly encouraged the staffs’ spirits to make great efforts in the last days of 2018, and directed the units to strengthen more solutions for collection with the aim of completing the assigned political tasks.

Don’t watch the time, watch your work

According to Nguyen Quoc Toan, deputy head of the Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, as of December 25, the budget revenue of HCM City Customs Department was VND 105,165 billion. Thus, the unit still has to collect nearly 3,000 billion to achieve the target of VND 108,000 billion. Prior to this difficult task, he directly encouraged the collecting staff at the branches with large amounts of revenue. Mr. Dinh Ngoc Thang instructed these departments to focus all their resourcefulness and thoughts on working hard, not running out of time. Create favorable conditions for every business. Timely remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses. “Together, we rush to win the race in the last days of the year, striving to complete the task of collecting state budget in the current difficult situation,” Customs Department Director Dinh Ngoc Thang remarked.

Trade facilitation has always been the guiding principle of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department in its efforts to continuously reform and modernize customs procedures to facilitate and nurture revenue sources.
