VCN- On July 26, at the regular press conference of Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Taxation said: The total revenue of the first 6 months of 2016 was 78,764 billion vnd, reaching 51% of the estimate, up 20.8% compared to the same period of last year.

There are 31/37 units with the total revenue over 50% of the estimate and increasing over the same period of last year. There are 5/37 units with the total revenue below 50% of the estimate but still increasing over the same period.

In order to get achievements above, according to a representative of Hanoi Department of Taxation, the tax authorities always accelerate the working of supervision and control of the declaration of taxpayers, timely detecting cases of incorrect declaration to regulate and handle. In the first 6 months, Hanoi Department of Taxation implemented VAT refund for 857 records with the VAT refund amount about 6,147 billion vnd.

Also, Hanoi Department of Taxation focused on inspection and supervision of companies with the ability of higher revenues; inspection before and after the tax refund (inspected 157 units after reimbursement, inspected 179 units proposing reimbursement before reimbursement), etc. Accordingly, in the first 6 months, Hanoi Department of Taxation completed 5,191 inspection cases (up 72% yoy); reimbursed and fined 1,431 billion vnd, reduced tax loss of 1,366 billion vnd, reduced tax deduction of 120 billion vnd.

Hanoi Tax Department has issued 6,967 enforcement decisions, deducted accounts of 4,121 companies with tax debt amount of 4,527 billion vnd; handled the illegal bills of 1,034 companies with the owed amount about 2,326 billion vnd. Publish the 6 times of the list of 807 units with tax arrears and land rent with total debt about 1,713 billion vnd.

In response to a reporter's question about the difficulty of accessing information of tax debt companies, Mr. Mai Son said: "I confirm that the information of tax debt companies is not confidential. Hanoi Department of Taxation regularly publishes the information of tax debt companies monthly on the website of Hanoi Department of Taxation. However, we have to revise some specific companies carefully, because the management switch can create some bugs. In the process of overcoming the bugs, there are companies fully completing tax payment but still receiving the information of tax debt due to the inconsistence of taxpayers, banking and state treasury. Thus, to publish accurately, we think we should be careful".
