VCN- According to Ha Tinh Customs Department, the Anti-drug Enforcement Team has coordinated with competent agencies in the province to successfully fight against the Special case 484L and arrested 2 perpetrators and seized 32kg crystal methamphetamine and 10 bars of heroin.

The two perpetrators and the infringing goods

At 11h 45 am, on 25th October 2018, at the Cong Doan Hotel, Thien Cam Town, Cam Xuyen District (Ha Tinh province), the Team discovered and arrested two perpetrators including Tran Xuan Thanh, born in 1988, residing in Hamlet 7, Ma Thanh commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An province (current residence place in Vientiane Capital – Laos) and Vo Dao Duong, born in 1977, residing in Hamlet 4, Dien Xuan commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province who were transporting a large quantities of drugs on a car with the Laos’ Licence Plate Number UN-0514.

At the site, the Team seized four green bags containing 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine. Inspecting the car, the team seized 10 bars of heroin and 2kg of crystal methamphetamine.

At the investigating agency, the two perpetrators claimed that they transported the above drugs from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.
