General Department of Customs updates information on imports and exports to the Government information reporting system

According to the General Department of Customs, information updated to the systems of the Ministry of Finance and the Government includes total import and export turnover and daily turnover of each customs department (including turnover arising in a month and turnover accumulated in the following year as of the reporting date).
Total number of import and export declarations and daily number of declarations of each customs department (including declarations arising in a month and declarations accumulated in the following year as of the reporting date).
Daily export/import turnover of FDI enterprises (including turnover arising in a month and turnover accumulated in the following year as of the reporting date).
The data closing time is 8am of the next working day of the reporting date; the sendingtime is before 11am of the next working day of the reporting date.
Term of connection of the General Department of Customs is before July 30, 2020.
According to the latest data released by the General Department of Customs, in June, the total export turnover reached US$22.6 billion, up 17.6% compared to May 2020.
June recorded many key export groups with a growth tens of percent higher than the previous month.
Typically, computers, electronic products and components reached US$3.95 billion, up 16.2%; mobile phones and components US$3.65 billion, up 24.5%; fishery nearly US$720 million, up 12.1% and footwear US$1.44 billion, up 9.8%
Remarkably, textile and garment after a few months of struggling had an increase in June with a turnover of US$2.6 billion, up 39.4%.
In the field of imports, in June, import turnover reached more than US$20.7 billion, up 14% over May 2020.
June recorded an increase in group of computers, electronic products and components with a turnover of more than US$5 billion, up 17.5%. This group remains Vietnam’s largest import group.
In addition, in June, three import groups reached a turnover of US$1 billion or more, namely machines, equipment, tools and spare parts; mobile phones and accessories and fabric of all kinds.
Generally, in the first six months, the country’s total import-export turnover reached US$240.12 billion, down slightly by 1.4% (equivalent to US$3.29 billion) compared to the same period last year.

Of which, the export value was US$122.79 billion, up slightly by 0.2% (equivalent to an increase of US$226 million) and the import value was US$117.33 billion, down 2.9% (equivalent to a decrease of US$3.52 billion).
Vietnam's trade balance in goods in the first six months saw a surplus of US$5.46 billion, while this figure in the same period last year was US$1.72 billion.
