Four commodity groups hit revenue worth trillions of VND in Hai Phong Customs

Between January and July, Hai Phong Customs Department’s revenue saw a year-on-year increase by 15.5% or VND6,072.5 billion to VND45,063 billion, meeting 70.8% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance and 67.2% of the target set by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Hai Phong Customs’s revenue rose VND4,633.4 billion year-on-year to VND38,611 billion, meeting 69.1% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance and 64.4% of the target assigned by Hai Phong City People's Committee.
The revenue of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh grew VND1,439.1 billion to VND6,402 billion, meeting 83.1% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance and 77.61% of target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
In the seven months of the year, Hai Phong Customs earned about VND322 billion from export and the remaining from imports.
Four commodity groups that contributed revenue worth VND1,000 billion or more were machinery and equipment with VND9,319 billion, up 4.8% compared with the previous year; CBU cars with VND8,510 billion, up 2.1%; iron and steel with VND4,487.5 billion, up 41.6%; and petrol and oil with VND2,248 billion, up 70.6%.
Motivated by the revenue of VND24,564.5 billion, these commodity groups’ revenue contributed 54.5% of the total revenue of the city department in the first seven months of the year.
In addition, the imported commodity groups contributed hundreds of billions of VND are confectionery and sugar VND480.5 billion; furniture VND330.5 billion; food VND298.4 billion; and beer and wine VND287.85 billion.
In 2022, Hai Phong Customs Department was assigned a revenue target of VND63,630 billion by the Ministry of Finance and VND67,050 billion by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
In the first seven months of the year, the department collected VND6,438 billion on average per month.
In which, June hit the highest revenue with VND6,922.7 billion. February saw the lowest revenue with VND5,382.5 billion.
In order to achieve the targets, the department must collect VND18,567 billion and VND21,987 billion in the last five months of the year, or VND3,713.4 billion /month and VND4,397.4 billion/month.
