Exhibitions on technology and manufacturing solution open in HCM City
Addressing the opening ceremony, Isara Nurintranart, managing director of Reed Tradex, the organizer, said Metalex Vietnam and Nepcon Vietnam have been held annually for more than 10 years and become an ideal platform for industrial businesses to update new knowledge of metalworking and electronics.
Metalex Vietnam 2018 is expected to draw a whopping 10,000 attendees from around the world. With so many people coming from all areas of Vietnam the event will have a lively atmosphere and should be a huge success. People going to the event will be granted access to the latest machine tools and metalworking solutions of 500 brands, including worldwide renowned ones such as Hoffmann, Hexagon, Takamaz, and Weldcom from over 25 countries and territories.
Meanwhile Nepcon Vietnam 2018 will lure more than 200 suppliers from 20 countries to showcase their products in the fields of technology and electronics.
Organized by Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), the Supporting Industry Show aims to create an opportunity for domestic and Japanese businesses to meet directly.
Takimoto Koji, chief representative of JETRO in HCM City, said nearly 2,500 Japanese businesses are operating in Vietnam, more than half of them are in industrial manufacturing. However, most businesses have to import materials, components and spare parts and just buy around 33% of components in Vietnam.
The show with the presence of 29 Japanese manufacturers is hoped to boost connectivity between Japanese manufacturers and Vietnamese suppliers. Many Vietnamese suppliers attending the event will be keen to network with Japanese manufacturers and hopefully have long lasting business relationships with them. This in turn would help to increase the use of domestic materials and components in products made in Vietnam in the coming time.
These events will last until October 13.
