Enhance cooperation between Customs of Vietnam and South Korea

VCN- On the morning of June 14th, 2017 at the headquarters of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Director General, Mr. Nguyen Van Can has a courtesy meeting with the Customs Counselor of South Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr.Yang Seuy Hyuk.

According to Mr.Nguyen Van Can, the collaboration between Customs of Vietnam and South Korea and the coordination between the Customs Counselor of South Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City with the Vietnam Customs units have further expanded the relationship between the two countries. Customs collaboration aims to promote trade exchange and protect the legal business of Korean enterprises in Vietnam as well as facilitate trade.

Mr. Nguyen Van Can expects that in the coming time, Customs of two countries will cooperate more closely and specifically in all fields, especially in the fight against acts of smuggling and trade fraud and counterfeit goods between the two countries.

Mr. Nguyen Van Can says that by the end of Jun 2017 Vietnam Customs would have a bilateral visit and exchange between the Customs of Vietnam and South Korea.

The Mr.Yang Seuy Hyuk stressed that on June 13, 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department coordinated with the South Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City hosted the conference entitled "Korean business community and the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department are reliable partners to develop together". The conference is a good chance for Korean enterprises to recommend and find solutions to solve problems in the Customs clearance. The Korean business community in Vietnam highly appreciated the investment environment as well as the support of the Customs authorities in recent years.
