Discussion on the cooperation between Vietnam Customs and Mongolia Customs

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassodor Dash Bilegdorj, said that in Mongolia, 2017, the intergovernmental meeting took place between Vietnam and Mongolia. In particular, the leaders of the two countries government have agreed on the contents of cooperation. One of the important contents is the establishment of cooperative relationship between customs and they will sign a cooperation agreement in the future.

Therefore, at this meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia in Viet Nam made a number of proposals on customs cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the Ambassador also issued a letter inviting the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to visit Mongolia Customs.

In response to the invitation, General Director Nguyen Van Can thanked and appreciated the goodwill of the Government of Mongolia in general and the Mongolian Customs in particular in promoting cooperation between the two countries.

The Director General said that Vietnam Customs are undergoing extensive modernization reforms. Vietnam Customs has just performed the task of customs management under the Customs Law and has been assigned by the Prime Minister to be the standing body in implementing the National Single Window mechanism to facilitate trade.

Therefore, to increase import-export turnover, trade development and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will receive the invitation of the Mongolian Customs. The specific content of cooperation will be answered directly by the General Department of Vietnam Customs and there will be specific discussions in order to sign a cooperation agreement between the two parties as soon as possible.
