Discovery of 2 hidden pistols in luggage of entry passenger

VCN - On 19th March 2017, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch said that they had detected and seized two pistols of a passenger carrying luggage on the flight from Hong Kong to HCMC.

Passenger and two shortgun were detected.

After detecting 1 suspicious package, Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch monitored and inspected that package. The image on the scanner showed that there was a gun so the Customs agency conducted a physical inspection.

In fact, apart from personal luggage, the Customs authorities found two pistols.

The Customs authorities identified that the luggage was owned by a male passenger, 42 years old, nationality is Vietnamese. He took the flight from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the Customs agency has temporarily seized the evidence, conducted investigations to clarify the cases and handle them according to the provisions of law.
