Discovering over 300 tablets suspected narcotic hidden in airmail packet from Germany to Vietnam

Previously, on 7/11, at the Operation and Transportation Center of Da Nang Post, the Cargo Inspection Team under Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch detected a suspected parcel. The consigner was: Tran Manh D. (address: Hugennotten str 2061381 Friedrichsdorf Germany). The recipient was: Pham Vo Thanh S. (address: K408 / 134 Hoang Dieu Street, Binh Thuan Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City, Vietnam).

Hence, the competent force conducted a physical inspection and found that inside parcel had 306 lemon yellow round tablets, with serrated around, on one side with floating crown, on the other side where a line which was suspected narcotic type MDMA.

MDMA is a neuroleptic compound of the Amphetamine that is listed in Annex I of Decree No. 82/2013 / ND-CP dated 19/7/ 2013 of the Government issuing the list of narcotics and pre-substances ( STT22).

The Da Nang International Airport Customs Branch has coordinated with Da Nang Post Office and PC47 – Da Nang Police city to seize and handle the case.
