Developing plan to deploy 60 procedures on National Public Services Portal

At the conference on implementing tasks in June 2020 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs (June 5), a representative of the General Department Office said that regarding online public services, the General Department of Vietnam Customs provided 164 online public services at levels 3 and 4, 82% of the administrative procedures in Customs.
Notably, 158 administrative procedures in the customs sector have been provided with online public services at level 4 (reaching 80%).
To deploy integration of the online public service system of General Department of Vietnam Customs with the National Public Service Portal under Decision No. 683/QD-BTC dated April 28, 2020 of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is developing a plan for deploying the integration of 60 online public services on the National Public Service Portal this year.
Regarding the expansion of electronic payments, to date, the number of banks coordinating with the General Department of Vietnam Customs is 43, and 30 banks participate in electronic tax payment and customs clearance 24/7. The revenue collected by electronic methods reaches above 95% of total revenue collection of the sector.
Besides that, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is focusing resources to complete the dossier submitted to the Ministry of Finance for approval of the policy of hiring IT system to meet requirements of core professional operation of the Customs sector towards digital Customs; designing e-government of Customs; deploying a project investing the electronic GPS seal system to serve cargo supervision under customs supervision transporting by containers of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs continues to use the VASSCM system at ports, warehouses and yards at 33 of 35 Customs departments of provinces and cities.
In the context of the complex situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has implemented many solutions to ensure the management and operation of IT systems run stably and continuously 24/7, security, safety, do not disrupt customs clearance or import-export activities of people and businesses.
Thanks to the implementation of solutions, since the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam, the customs clearance of import and export goods and means of transport on entry and exit in the country have been done quickly, smoothly and continuously.
