The department has inspected and received e-Certificates of Origin and applied new regulations on the deadline and the form of C/O submission for imports amid the Covid-19 pandemic to promote administrative reform and shorten customs clearance time.

It has also implemented procedures for granting import permits for cars for non-commercial purposes via the online public service system.

Regarding the physical inspection and customs supervision for goods, Da Nang Customs Department has instructed customs declarants and local customs branches to quickly implement procedures amid the lockdown. The department has provided specific plans to carry out procedures at local customs branches and developed response plans for different situations.

In addition, the department has received and handled problems related to customs procedures to ensure quick customs clearance.

The department has taken measures to prevent the pandemic even in the most difficult situations, including assigning officers on many shifts to handle procedures under the three-on-the-spot method from August 5 to September 20 at the department and its branches.

To facilitate and support enterprises, ensure smooth import and export activities, and implement the dual goals under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, while ensuring pandemic prevention and expediting customs clearance and supporting activities for production, the department has proposed to build many effective policies to assist imports and exports.
