Quang Tri Customs Department holds programs on drug prevention and control.

In the month of action on drug prevention and control in June, the General Department of Vietnam Customs directed contents related to all subordinate units. During the implementation, the Customs sector upholds the leadership role of the Party committee, the responsibility of the head of the unit and raises the awareness of all officers in drug prevention and control.

The Customs sector carried out outstanding activities, including launching contests to educate on the law and drug prevention in the Customs sector.

The Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department under General Department of Vietnam Customs coordinated with Binh Phuoc Customs Department and local agencies to hold a meeting on drug prevention and control in 2022 with the participation of more than 400 people and students in the area.

Cau Treo Customs seizes 24,000 pills of synthetic drugs.

Customs departments of provinces and cities have strongly responded to action month on drug prevention and control in 2022 through effective and large-scale activities. The Anti-Drug Enforcement Team collaborated with the local government in cultural exchange and implement the drug prevention and control with the theme "Improving the efficiency of drug addiction treatment and management of illegal drug users - For a healthy and safe community". The departments distributes 800 leaflets and hangs posters, images related to drug crimes.

The Customs sector continues to promote its role as the leading force in this difficult task. In the action month in 2022, the sector arrested 51 cases with 35 suspects.

The contribution of the Customs forces of the provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Dien Bien, Quang Tri, and HCM City, the Anti-Smuggling Enforcement Teams with the quantity of infringing goods of about 200kg of drugs, including; 33.8kg of heroin; 312 grams of cocaine, 55.1kg of cannabis, 458 grams of opium, 95.6kg of synthetic drug tablets and 2.28kg of ketamine.
