VCN – In the morning of 4th April 2017, at ALS warehouse, the Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit in the North ( Team 1 – Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department, General Department of Customs) has collaborated to inspect 2 shipments contained pangolin scab.

Customs force inspected the violated goods

Both shipments have 12 packages under the bill of lading number: 235-61736695 and 235-61735973. All the shipment originated from the Republic of Ghana and transported to Noi Bai International Airport on 27^th February 2017.

In the morning of 4^th April 2017, the Anti-smuggling Enforcement Unit in the North (Team 1), Online Customs Supervision Division (under the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department) coordinated with Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch, the Customs Enforcement Team (under the Hanoi Customs Department) to inspect the shipments and detected lots of pangolin scab inside packages.

Earlier, in the end of February and in March of 2017, also at the ALS warehouse, Customs officers discovered more than 700kg of pangolin scab transported from Nigeria and Cameroon to Vietnam.
