According to the latest statistics of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of November, the whole country spent US$4.67 billion importing computers, electronic products and components.

As of November 15, the import turnover of this group of goods reached US$92.92 billion.

Computers, electronic products and components continue to be the largest imported product group of Vietnam.

The import turnover of computers, electronic products and components increased by US417.21 billion (up 22.7%) compared to the same period in 2023.

The average import turnover of computers, electronic products and components gained US$8.85 billion per month.

If the figures are maintained in the coming time, by mid-December, the import turnover of computers, electronic products and components is forecast to reach US$100 billion.

The three major markets that Vietnam imports the commodity group include China at US$28.52 billion, up US$9.68 billion compared to the same period in 2023; South Korea at US$ 26.39 billion, up US$3.28 billion; Taiwan (China) at US$ 11.35 billion, up US$2.81 billion.

As of November 15, the total import turnover of the whole country saw a year-on-year 16.6% to US$329.1 billion.

In addition to computers, electronic products and components, commodity groups with high growth turnover include: machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts up US$6.17 billion; iron and steel of all kinds up US$2.01 billion; other common metals up US$1.64 billion; phones of all kinds and components up US$1.37 billion...
