At the working session, Deputy Minister Tran Xuan Ha highly appreciated HSBC's achievements during its operation in Vietnam. The Deputy Minister said that HSBC is the largest foreign bank in Vietnam and has obtained many successes.
Talking with Mr. Mark Tucker, Chairman of HSBC Bank on Vietnam's economy, especially for the development of Vietnam's capital market, the Deputy Minister said that for the Securities field, the Ministry of Finance has managed towards close coordination with the banking system in the synchronous development on banking and capital market channels.
"There is interference between the capital market and the banking market, it is necessary to develop transparent mechanisms, policies and supervision to ensure compliance with the law and prevent risks," Deputy Minister Tran Xuan Ha said.

The Deputy Minister also informed that in the coming time, the Minister of Finance will work with the delegation to organize investment promotion activities in foreign countries. The promotion activities are expected to be held in London (UK), to promote economic development as well as Vietnam’s capital and financial markets. After developing a specific program, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam will contact HSBC and hope that HSBC will support Vietnam in sharing and promoting Vietnam's image to international investors, especially by sharing HSBC's investment experiences in Vietnam, helping international investors gain more knowledge about Vietnam's financial market.
At the working session, Mr. Mark Tucker highly appreciated Vietnam’s banking and financial field, and shared information about HSBC's development strategy in the coming time.
Regarding the information on an investment promotion conference expected to be held in London led by Minister of Finance, Dinh Tien Dung, Mr. Mark Tucker said this would be a very important event, and HSBC was ready to support the Ministry of Finance in connecting with investors, thereby, contributing to the development of Vietnam's economy.
