140 smuggled iPhones destroyed?
Regarding the smuggling of 140 iPhones, the Mong Cai border gate Customs Branch has recently received a written request from Vo Tran Company (a registration unit on intellectual property rights at the border) about the destruction of infringing goods due to intellectual property infringement.

Earlier, the Customs Branch has transferred information on image, imei etc about the above goods for Vo Tran Company.
As reported by the Customs Newspaper at 12 o'clock on April 24, 2017, Import- Export Cargo Customs Procedures Team II (Bac Luan) under the Mong Cai border gate Customs Branch (Quang Ninh Custom Department) discovered and arrested Mrs. Chan QianLan (born on May 13, 1969, residing at Lou Pou Village, Dongxing City, Guangxi Province, China) who illegally transported 140 used iPhones without Customs declaration, worth about 70 million vnd. Notably, the offender used adhesive tape to wrap the whole of the goods around her body to hide them.

Mrs. Chan QianLan confessed that the above goods were collected in Dongxing city, China and there were not any documents and invoices to prove their legality to transport to Vietnam.
