Accordingly, in the list of 89 cars which has been announced by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, there are eight cars temporarily imported by the agency that have not yet been liquidated; the remaining 81 vehicles include cars temporarily imported by individuals that have expired terms but have not yet been liquidated, and personal cars with privileges and immunities that have been sold, given or donated to other organizations and individuals in Vietnam but not yet carried out the transfer procedures as prescribed.
This list has been widely announced by the General Department of Vietnam Customs so that people who are managing and using vehicles will know and carry out transfer procedures.
Regarding this issue, in Clause 4, Article 1 of the Decision 14/2021/ND-TTg of the Prime Minister dated March 26, 2021 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decision 53/2013/QD-TTg dated September 13, 2013 of the Prime Minister specifically stipulates the management of duty-free temporarily imported car of entities granted diplomatic privileges and immunities in Vietnam that have been sold, given away or donated to other organizations and individuals in Vietnam but not yet carried out transfer procedures as prescribed by law.
Vehicle transfer documents include a customs declaration following the information criteria or the form prescribed by the Minister of Finance; a certificate of revocation of vehicle registration and license plate number issued by the police agency; and other documents related to the transferred car (if any).
