In particular, all taxes collected by Ho Chi Minh City Customs increased sharply. With this growth momentum, Ho Chi Minh City Customs estimated that by the end of June 2021, the state budget revenue will reach more than VND58,000 billion, reaching nearly 54% of the ordinance estimate and nearly 52% of the striving target, an increase of more than 21% compared to the same period in 2020.
The high level of state revenue collection in the first months of the year in the context of the severe impact of the pandemic is a highlight in the revenue collection activities of Ho Chi Minh City Customs in the first half of this year.
To achieve the above results, from the beginning of the year, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department have promulgated many plans and solutions to implement synchronously aiming to effectively carry out the dual task of "fighting the pandemic and ensuring trading of import and export goods". In particular, the important task is facilitating to attract import-export enterprises but still enhance the efficiency of professional work, improve the effectiveness of state management, ensure correct and sufficient tax collection, perform task of tax collection, and effectively reduce tax debt.
Currently, the pandemic in the world and in the country is complicated, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department promulgated a plan to prevent and control Covid-19 with many specific solutions. In particular, developing a detailed scenario with many hypothetical situations in order to be proactive in pandemic prevention and control, ensure the safety of resources to perform tasks, especially the forces at the border gate, clear goods and ensure sources of revenue for the state budget.
