Anti-Smuggling

VCN – According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), the smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across the border has decreased in the third quarter.

VCN – On August 19, Lay Lay Border Gate Customs Branch issued seven decisions to inspect seven vehicles of An Tran Import and Export Co., Ltd.

VCN- On September 14, the Northern Anti-Smuggling and Control Team (under the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department) coordinated with HCM City Customs Department, Express Cargo Customs Branch (under Ha Noi Customs Department) and Economic Police Department to inspect 15 packages of goods with suspicious signs in Soc Son District, Ha Noi.

Leader of the Anti-Drug Enforcement Team (Dien Bien Customs Department) said the unit arrested a person transporting nine bricks of heroin.

Post Clearance Audit has worked to detect violations in recent times. Initially, the unit has concluded and pointed out many signs related to violations in imported cashew nuts

The Northern Anti-Smuggling Enforcement Unit is continuing promptly detecting and handling cases of medicine smuggling for Covid-19 treatment and medical equipment

With the increase in demand for medicines, medical supplies and equipment serving pandemic prevention, many people have illegally imported medicine for Covid-19 treatment

VCN – The infringing goods were imported from India to Noi Bai International Airport under the form of gifts and donations and sent via express delivery service.

VCN - Many cases of cigarette smuggling in large quantities were caught by functional forces on the An Giang border.

This is one of the largest drug seizures that Lao Cai Customs has coordinated since early 2021.
