Anti-Smuggling

Among 700 cases of detected violations, HCM City Customs Department prosecuted or requested other authorities to prosecute more than 30 cases of importing banned goods.

VCN- A 20-feet cargo container imported from China contained many counterfeit goods of brands, including Vietnamese-Japanese locks, BOSCH drill bits, Avatar chisels, was seized by Unit 1, Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department, General Department of Vietnam Customs in coordination with Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch.

VCN- Recently, drug crimes increasingly took place in HCM City, Southern provinces and along the Vietnam-Cambodia border, becoming “hot spots” of drug-related crime.

VCN - From the beginning of the year to now, the department has tackled 20 cases and seized 150kg of drugs.

VCN-The working team inspected two plastic baskets covered with straw near Muong Lon ferry terminal and found 885 packs of imported cigarettes.

VCN- The goods were declared as drill bits, door locks, chisels and wrenches and as 100% new.

VCN- The forces detected 78 packages with white powder in a sack on the motorbike.
