Abolish the certificate of car warranty and maintenance when importing cars of 9 seats or less

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Circular No.04/2017/TT-BCT to amend and supplement Circular 20/2011/TT-BCT stipulating additional procedures for imported cars of 9 seats or less. Accordingly, this Circular abolishes Clause 2, Article 1 of Circular No. 20/2011 / TT-BCT.
Specifically, in Clause 2, Article 1 of Circular No. 20/2011/TT-BCT states that traders importing cars of 9 seats or less when conducting import procedures, apart from implementation of current regulations, they must submit the following additional documents to the competent State agencies: the certificate of car warranty and maintenance establishment with sufficient conditions issued by the Ministry of Transport (1 copy certified and sealed true copy of the trader).

The remaining condition is that the appointment paper or power of attorney issued to importers and distributors of the such car maker and trader who trades such type of car or agent contract of the such car maker and trader who trades such type of car, which were consular legalized by the overseas-based Vietnam diplomatic representative agency as prescribed by law (1 copy certified and sealed true copy of traders), is not still abolished.
